about

bonus track?

a hybrid moment. i wrote this on a guitar, it was too fast and it sounded stupid, tried playing it on a piano and it sounded too much like another one of my songs (as my piano playing is limited to about 3 styles that all sound the same), so i just gave up and plugged it into the phone and built a backing track and added some real instruments (no guitar though). that's that. but, oh, i did play some drums....

lyrics

we were a bad match because we only loved ourselves we dressed it up in platitudes on pedestals and shelves we were a bad match because we only loved ourselves I sent for you in the morning told you I was ready to run at first there was hesitation and then there was none I sent for you in the morning but you never did come we were a bad match because we only loved ourselves we dressed it up in platitudes with ribbons and bows with whistles and bells we were a bad match but darling we were whistles and bells we were a bad match but darling we were whistles and bells
